EXERCISING during pregnancy is beneficial and can help with recovery following labour, Body Logic Physiotherapy physiotherapist Chloe Serrao says.
“That is why we are starting an aquatic class for women who are pregnant or have given birth,” she said.
“In pregnancy, exercise can assist with the management of blood sugar levels, gestational diabetes, blood pressure and lower back and pelvic girdle pain, as well as maintaining fitness levels in preparation for labour.”
