DisappointinA end to season

son (15 points) and Lindsey Moore (16 points, nine rebounds) led from the front, with strong support from captain Deanna Smith (14 points).

The Waves took a seven-point lead late into the game but it didn’t last long, with Tess Madgen and Laurie Kohen connecting on big shots for the visitors.

The Waves put up a fight, grinding through the highs and lows of the game, but in the end, the visitors made the big plays down the stretch.

Again the feeling of disappointment was among the group but it is now time to reflect on the season that was and evaluate where we went wrong and obviously what we will do better next season.

A massive thank you must go to our loyal supporters and fans who come along every week to our home games and help us over every hurdle.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful sponsors, big and small; without them, we would not have a team on the court. And the very selfless volunteers – and I’m sure there are some we don’t even know about – who each week work tirelessly for us to put together game nights.

Last but not least, my team and coaching staff; all would agree this wasn’t the result we wanted nor deserved, but the ride with this group this year has been amazing.

Thank you!
