CHAM­PAGNE should be drunk out of a flute and at be­tween 7-9C, ac­cord­ing to cham­pagne ex­pect Julien Marteau who will be in Cottes­loe this week.

The Syd­ney-based French ex­pert is host­ing Live Life Lav­ish at the Cott and Co Fish Bar on Thurs­day night.

Mr Marteau, who was in the Barossa Val­ley when Matilda spoke to him last week, said there was a big mar­ket for cham­pagne in Perth be­cause of the high dis­pos­able in­comes.

“Aus­tralians are be­com­ing more so­phis­ti­cated in their choice of drinks,” he said.

“They are dis­cov­er­ing cham­pagne.”
