MOSMAN Park residents can discuss high-rise up to 10 storeys on their border with North Fremantle at a public meeting tonight.

“This is important, as we will be running the meeting principally as a working session on the proposed guidelines for structure plans, with attendees working in groups,” North Fremantle Community Association chair Gerard MacGill said.

In April, Fremantle Council will consider discretionary power allowing 17m limits up to 25m at parts of the Taskers and One Steel sites, both on McCabe Street, and the limit on some parts of the back of the nearby Matilda Bay Brewery on Stirling Highway to reach 33m.

The meeting from 6-8pm at North Fremantle Community Hall will finalise suggestions for the sites’ designs, public space and traffic control.
