A MAN punched a mo­torist on the nose dur­ing road rage at a Winthrop Av­enue in­ter­sec­tion about 10.30am on Fe­bru­ary 13. Po­lice said an In­naloo man (24) was driv­ing east on Stir­ling High­way when the grey Holden Com­modore driven by his at­tacker drove up be­hind, over took at speed and cut in front, be­fore ac­cel­er­at­ing at speed. Both cars ar­rived at the Winthrop Av­enue in­ter­sec­tion where in­sult­ing ges­tures and abuse were ex­changed, be­fore the Holden driver got and out ap­proached his vic­tim in his car, punch­ing him through an open win­dow and left in the Com­modore. The In­naloo man did not need treat­ment and re­ported the in­ci­dent to po­lice im­me­di­ately.

THIEVES took $2000 from a till af­ter they smashed their way into That Com­puter Shop, Stir­ling High­way, Ned­lands about 10pm on Fe­bru­ary 13. Po­lice said the shop’s alarm was ac­ti­vated and a glass panel smashed, a door opened, stock pulled off shelves and the till forced with a tool. How­ever, no com­put­ers were taken. Se­nior Sergeant Kate Vi­vian said it would be al­leged Bun­nings staff saw the man go to the sol­vents sec­tion and put a 1.1lt tin of Digger’s enamel thin­ner cost­ing $10.80 un­der his big, black jacket be­fore he ran from the store. Of­fi­cers pa­trolling on foot nearby saw the man throw the tin back into the store’s yard, be­fore he was chased and ar­rested. A Gos­nells man (32) will be sum­monsed to face a charge of steal­ing at court at a later date.
