Speeding car leads to drug charges
A SPEEDING car led Wembley police to a man and his girlfriend with allegedly 4g of cocaine, 4g of methamphetamine and $4100 cash at 9.55am on January 22.
Senior Sergeant Kate Vivian said her officers patrolling Nollamara Avenue in Nollamara saw a red Holden GTS sedan allegedly speeding. It accelerated into a side street and was later seen behind Osborne Park units, where a man and woman were walking.
The couple was arrested, the car searched and a bum bag found in a nearby yard.
“It will be alleged the man admitted owning the bag and it contained $4100 and about 4g of cocaine and 4g of methamphetamine in plastic clip seal bags, and a glass smoking implement,” Sgt Vivian said.
The woman was released but arrested when Perth detectives raided a Balcatta house later that day.
