Australian cricket’s the pride of Erinn
COTTESLOE resident Erinn Litchfield (33) is one of the 147 volunteers chosen for the ICC Cricket World Cup at the WACA.
Litchfield’s role was with the VIPs, sponsorship and hospitality at the venue.
Perth hosted India versus United Arab Emirates, and will host Australia versus Afghanistan and India versus West Indies.
Litchfield said she was looking forward to watching Australia play Afghanistan on Wednesday.
“I’m very excited to cheer on Australia and I hope that they will play well and put on a good show for the Perth crowd,” she said.
Litchfield said that she has been involved in sports her entire life.
“I’ve been always playing sports since I was a kid through to early adulthood,” she said. “I studied Sport Science at ECU and I also had a sporting background here and in the UK.”
Litchfield volunteered at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
“I love being involved in high level sporting competitions and it was a lot of fun to participate in the Olympics.”
