COTTES­LOE res­i­dent Erinn Litch­field (33) is one of the 147 vol­un­teers cho­sen for the ICC Cricket World Cup at the WACA.

Litch­field’s role was with the VIPs, spon­sor­ship and hos­pi­tal­ity at the venue.

Perth hosted In­dia ver­sus United Arab Emi­rates, and will host Australia ver­sus Afghanistan and In­dia ver­sus West Indies.

Litch­field said she was look­ing for­ward to watch­ing Australia play Afghanistan on Wed­nes­day.

“I’m very ex­cited to cheer on Australia and I hope that they will play well and put on a good show for the Perth crowd,” she said.

Litch­field said that she has been in­volved in sports her en­tire life.

“I’ve been al­ways play­ing sports since I was a kid through to early adult­hood,” she said. “I stud­ied Sport Science at ECU and I also had a sport­ing back­ground here and in the UK.”

Litch­field vol­un­teered at the 2012 Lon­don Olympic Games.

“I love be­ing in­volved in high level sport­ing com­pe­ti­tions and it was a lot of fun to par­tic­i­pate in the Olympics.”
