Towntalk FROM THE MAYOR’S DESK

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Western Opinion -

It is no secret that I am pleased that the state government has abandoned plans to restructure Councils. As I said many times throughout the process, I am passionate about keeping local government local. I am glad that the Elected Members of the Town and I can now focus on with the business of serving our community. The season’s Get into the Claremont Life events have proven popular with the community. With hundreds of people turning up to ‘ Theatre Lane Live’ to soak up the retro feel over live music, snacks and drinks on Thursday nights in the laneway. Over 2000 people embraced that loving feeling to attend the Valentine concert, Symphony of Love performed by members of the Perth Symphony Orchestra in Claremont Park. There are many more great events to come. To find out more check out the Community Calendar on this page or follow us on Facebook/ townofclaremontevents
