A BIBRA Lake man (46) and a Melville man (43) are charged with obstructing police when they allegedly got out of their taxi to complain about being delayed by a random breath test bus on Roberts Road about 10pm on February 27. It will be alleged the Bibra Lake man approached RBT officers aggressively and swore before he was arrested, at which point the Melville man and two women in the taxi intervened, pulling officers away, before the Melville man was pushed away by one officer’s hand. “He has then ‘theatrically’ thrown him- self on to a police car’s bonnet and damaged its emergency lights,” Senior Sergeant Kate Vivian said. The Bibra Lake man was charged with damage and obstructing police, and the Melville man with disorderly conduct and obstructing police, before both were bailed to later appear in court.
A WINDOW to a family room was forced when thieves took an Audi to carry their haul from raiding a Gloster Street house between 8.30am and 3.30pm on February 26. Senior Sergeant Kate Vivian said rooms were searched before keys for the Audi were taken among the haul that included a Playstation, a $9500 racing bicycle, an iPad, costume jewellery, a digital camera and $260 cash. The Audi was recovered in a drivable condition in Nollamara about 1pm the following day. of cash on Stirling Highway between 5.30am and 6am on March 3. Police said a side door to the restaurant was forced, before an undisclosed amount of cash was taken. CCTV footage is currently being assessed.
