Surf lifesaver unlocking his water knowledge

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Business -

CITY Beach surf lifesaving champion David Locke is passing his expertise on at Scarboro Surf Life Saving Club.

Mr Locke, who started the Red Sharks Swim Team with Doubleview resident A.J. McDonald at HBF Stadium last year, said it was important for children to learn about surf conditions.

“I come from a surf swimming background and saw the need for the kids to be able to negotiate the surf better and feel safe in the water,” he said. “They need to make the right decisions at the right time in and out of the ocean.”
