Western Suburbs Weekly - - Driveway -

PERTH Glory players Andy Keogh, Scott Jamieson and Jordan Thurtell shared tips and tricks with 15 players from Western Knights’ Equal Footingball Division (EFD) teams recently.

Knights junior president Daniella Ronnestad said the Glory players each took a group through training drills and tricks before talking to the Knights players and getting photos with them.

“They loved it, all the kids had a great time,” Ronnestad said.

“We had great feedback from the parents.”

The EFD started in 2010 with the Western Knights and one other club and now involves eight clubs and a seniors division.

Jamieson said he was impressed by the team, which included state paralympic and Special Olympics representatives.

“It was a pleasure to be invited to their training session and to meet them all,” he said.

“We were a few times surprised by the skills out there and they certainly gave us a good run.”

The EFD team trains Wednesdays at Mann Oval, Mosman Park.
