October date for clubrooms project
CONSTRUCTION has started at the Collegians Amateur Football (CAFC) clubrooms redevelopment at David Cruikshank Reserve.
The McCorkell Constructions project is expected to be finished in October this year, with carparking and final landscaping to follow building completion.
The City of Nedlands contributed $1.75 million to the project, the Department of Sports and Recreation $500,000 and CAFC $75,000.
Nedlands Mayor Max Hipkins said the redevelopment of the 1970s-era clubrooms was part of the City’s 10- year strategic community plan to renew the community’s infrastructure and assets.
Looking forward to new clubrooms: redevelopment committee member John Adcock, Nedlands Mayor Max Hipkins, CAFC president Rob Kelly, redevelopment committee member Allen MacKinnon and player Ben Rattigan.
