Levon Kvas-Roth­well bagged 17 of UWA’s points with the boot, kick­ing a con­ver­sion and four penal­ties, while Nikoro slot­ted two con­ver­sions and three penal­ties for Wests.

Cottes­loe dom­i­nated the open­ing half of the match against Palmyra in the wet and windy con­di­tions at Tomp­kins Park, main­tain­ing their lead in the sec­ond half with the wind be­hind them to take the victory 17-3.

While it was the home side that had the mea­sure of the Gulls at scrum time, they were un­able to break through the solid de­fen­sive ef­fort of Cottes­loe.
