School se­cu­rity guard robbed at knife­point

A SCHOOL se­cu­rity guard (31) was robbed at knife­point by a masked man at West Leed­erville Pri­mary School about 3.30am on April 14.

“He said he was ap­proached by a man wear­ing a blue mask cov­er­ing all his face who was car­ry­ing a large knife,” Se­nior Sergeant Kate Vi­vian said.

The guard, from Mor­ley, was pro­tect­ing a build­ing site on school grounds and was out­side the school near his car when a white Mit­subishi Lancer drove past, turned around and re­turned.

Sgt Vi­vian said the masked rob­ber got out of the Lancer and de­manded money, but the guard showed his wal­let was empty.

The rob­ber de­manded the guard’s mo­bile tele­phone, which was handed over af­ter the guard “obeyed out of fear”.

The rob­ber left in the Lancer be­fore po­lice ar­rived.
