Awards open for all things sci­en­tific

THE third an­nual $80,000 Pre­mier’s Science Awards are open for nom­i­na­tions, with win­ners an­nounced dur­ing Na­tional Science Week in Au­gust.

“Pro­vid­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties to en­gage and ed­u­cate chil­dren in science and turn­ing young peo­ple on to science is vi­tal for our fu­ture sci­en­tific ca­pac­ity,” Pre­mier Colin Bar­nett said.

The awards cel­e­brate re­searchers and science teach­ers, with prizes for the best sci­en­tist, ca­reer sci­en­tist, stu­dent sci­en­tist and the ini­tia­tive that most en­gaged youth in WA.
