Showground says hello kitty
DALKEITH resident Jane Horstman will be among 12 judges from all over the world at the Australian Cat Federation National Cat Show this weekend.
A record 285 cats have been entered this year with eight rings – there are generally two – for the Claremont Showground event.
Ms Horstman, who has been judging at local and national events since 1980, has a bengal and persian cat but no longer enters them in shows.
Breeds that will be judged this weekend include ragdolls, russians, persians, maine coons, british shorthairs, abyssinians, bengals and burmese and rarer breeds such as burmillas, balinese, manx, mandalay and sphynx.
The show is from 10am-5pm on Saturday and 10am-2.30pm Sunday.
Entry is $5 for adults and $10 for a family.
