Collection perfect for lounging around in

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Fashion - Desmond Eddy

NEW WA label Littlespoon Loungewear is the latest in loungewear apparel to hit Australia.

It was founded by local designer Tash Heyder.

Heyder’s idea behind the label was to provide an alternative for other women like herself who don't want to spend their days in gym gear but don’t want to be overly dressed up either.

“I wanted clothing you can wake up in, go out in or just hang around the house in,” she said.

“I’m a very active person and I do love my gym gear, but I don’t want to stay in it after a workout all day.

“Or imagine if you’ve had a big night and the next morning someone knocks at your door. At least you have on something presentable, even if the rest of you isn’t quite so.”

Heyder said the range was all about clothing you could fall asleep in, wake up in and go out to meet a friend without looking like you were wearing pyjamas.

All garments are handmade using a variety of soft fabrics, including mohair, bamboo, and cotton.

The women’s wear line was released at the end of last May and channels a simple yet chic look for all the little spoons out there.

The first collection, Slumber, features greys and whites and come in the forms of full-length cardigans, woollen knit jumpers and comfy everyday pants.

Littlespoon Loungewear is available online, releasing two collections a year, summer and winter, at www.littlespoon
