Snow and Ice for Holiday Fun

Western Suburbs Weekly - - City of perth news -

The City of Perth’s free school holiday activity for July 2015 will have icier snow and twice the slides, more than doubling the capacity of last year’s event to almost 25,000. Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi said the sixteen-day Perth City Snow Slide event in Forrest Place, aimed at 3 –12 year-olds, will be bigger and better. “We’ve responded to Perth’s underestimated propensity for snow by adding a second and bigger snow slide this year, more sessions per day, and an extra three days to the event season,” the Lord Mayor said. “All tickets (free) will be available online more than a week in advance so people will know if they’ve secured tickets and for which session before they venture in to the city.” The Lord Mayor said the changes to event ticketing, capacity and content will make for happier parents and children. “We’re aiming to make a family outing in the City easier and far more enjoyable by allowing people to arrive with their free print-at-home tickets in hand, 10 minutes before their session, and know exactly what to expect,” Ms Scaffidi said. The free ickets to Perth City Snow Slide will be released in two stages: 10am Tuesday 23 June for sessions 4-11 July, and 10am Tuesday 30 June for sessions 12-16 July.
