Man, daughter on drug charges
A 56-YEAR-OLD man and his 22-year-old daughter face drug charges after police searched their Claremont home and the girl’s mother’s car last week.
Bibra Lake police will allege they found drugs in the mother’s vehicle when it was pulled over near the Fothergill Street and Bellevue Terrace intersection in Fremantle about 5am on June 16.
It will be alleged the mother had no authority to drive and searches of the vehicle and both women found five smoking implements, two amounts of cannabis weighing 1.93g and 0.54g, two amounts of methylamphetamine weighing 0.41g and 0.01g and 42 dexamphetamine tablets.
Fremantle detectives and northwest metropolitan police subsequently searched the family’s home on July 16.
The father was charged with possessing cannabis and drug paraphernalia and will appear in Perth Magistrates Court on July 1.
His daughter was charged with possessing cannabis, methamphetamine and dexamphetamine to sell and supply, possessing methamphetamine and possessing drug paraphernalia and was bailed to appear in Fremantle Magistrates Court on July 10.
Her mother was charged with being unauthorised to drive and will appear in the court on July 15.
