Mu­sos sup­port can­cer cause

A CHRIST­MAS in July lunch at Ren­dezvous Ho­tel in Scar­bor­ough next month will raise money for Can­cer Sup­port WA.

Mu­si­cian Dave Maxwell will per­form with his band The Lar­rikins at the July 3 lunch that will in­clude a three-course meal and prizes.

Mr Maxwell said he sup­ported Can­cer Sup­port WA’s pro­grams, which helped peo­ple with can­cer and their fam­i­lies.

The Lar­rikins will per­form jazz clas­sics with other per­form­ers through­out the event.

“To me, it means I can make a real con­tri­bu­tion to raise money,” he said. “I feel grate­ful they’ve asked me and I urge peo­ple to join Can­cer Sup­port.”

Can­cer Sup­port WA is call­ing on peo­ple to make tax de­ductable do­na­tions to the char­ity as tax time ap­proaches.

Do­na­tions will en­sure Can­cer Sup­port WA can con­tinue to pro­vide Can­cer Care Packs, a 24-hour can­cer sup­port phone line, coun­selling, grief groups, well­ness cour­ses and sem­i­nars, and a re­search well­ness li­brary.
