WEST Leederville Primary School has been part of the Water Corporation’s Waterwise Schools program for a decade.

Through the program, teachers at the school have been educating students on the need to value, protect and conserve water resources.

West Leederville Primary School Waterwise co-ordinator Pip Hawson worked to maintain the program at the school over the past 10 years.

She said students benefited from the program and had become more aware of the value of water.

“Children at West Leederville Primary School are more mindful of the importance of saving water, the drought conditions in WA and how it is important to stop leaks and actively participate in stopping and water wastage,” Ms Hawson said.
