Western Suburbs Weekly - - News -

THE University of Melbourne’s Centre for Mental Health is running free training for parents of children aged 12-15 from June to October.

The project aims to teach parents the first aid skills needed to assist their children should they develop a mental health problem or physical injury, and later evaluate the training for a research study.

A 14-hour youth mental health first aid course and 15-hour Australian Red Cross first aid course are offered. Courses are available in Burswood, East Perth and Mosman Park at various times.
