Costarella passions in print

MODERN art has inspired Aurelio Costarella’s 2015 winter collection, Abstraction.

Pared-down luxury, colour, texture, exquisite silks, metallic overtones and strong prints all come together to offer a diverse selection.

Costarella said he had created two exclusive prints for the collection.

“Both were designed by me and printed onto silk satin organza,” he said.

“They have abstract elements; the first is a kaleidoscopic swirl of colour, the second, bold and mono.”

The Perth fashion designer said he loved the grand old muses.

“Parisienne women full of mystery and charm,” he said.

“A little decadent but eternally elegant. Marisa Berenson, Lauren Hutton, Tina Chow and Josephine Baker have always inspired my work.

“Winter for me is about beautiful separates: warm layers with texture and charm.

“It’s a great time to truly express one’s fashion persona.”

The complete range is available from Post Emporium, 23 View St, North Perth, with more online at www.aureliocostarella.com.
