Net­work to re­vive Subi

THE new Su­bi­aco Town Cen­tre Net­work will help Su­bi­aco re-emerge as a lead­ing re­tail, hos­pi­tal­ity and en­ter­tain­ment des­ti­na­tion, says Mayor Heather Hen­der­son.

Although mem­ber­ship is yet to be fi­nalised, the net­work is ex­pected in­clude the City of Su­bi­aco place man­age­ment and mar­ket­ing teams, rep­re­sen­ta­tives from the Western Sub­urbs Busi­ness As­so­ci­a­tion and lo­cal busi­ness own­ers.

“The net­work will fo­cus on ac­tion; it will be fast mov­ing, for­ward think­ing and ac­tively en­cour­aged to rec­om­mend new ideas,” Mrs Hen­der­son said.

“We’re look­ing for some quick wins as well as longer term achieve­ments. Ad­dress­ing is­sues and per­cep­tions around Su­bi­aco’s im­age and park­ing will be early pri­or­i­ties.”

Western Sub­urbs Busi­ness As­so­ci­a­tion act­ing pres­i­dent Mark Hann said he was op­ti­mistic about busi­ness com­mu­ni­ties work­ing col­lab­o­ra­tively with coun­cil.

“Busi­ness sus­tain­abil­ity in Su­bi­aco is a col­lec­tive re­spon­si­bil­ity,” Mr Hann said.
