Hol­i­day car­ni­vals to fire up the kids

DE­SPITE it be­ing cooler, chil­dren will still get to en­joy the school hol­i­days next month with a bunch of car­ni­vals planned for metropoli­tan ar­eas.

In the western sub­urbs, Kids Funfest will take over the Clare­mont Show­ground pavil­ions on July 12.

With more than 80 at­trac­tions, the event in­cludes un­lim­ited ac­cess to rides, amuse­ments and en­ter­tain­ment.

City of Stirling fam­i­lies will get the chance to at­tend Kids Won­der­land at Hertha Road Re­serve, Cedric Street, where they will be able to get up close and per­sonal with di­nosaurs, meet real life mer­maids and watch an in­cred­i­ble Fire Cir­cus Show.

There will also be in­ter­ac­tive mime work­shops, the op­por­tu­nity to watch a live cow-milk­ing demon­stra­tion and Scitech’s bub­ble ex­per­i­ment show. Par­ents can en­joy ac­cess to the “Stirling Oa­sis” where they can take a break, en­joy a cup of cof­fee and be pam­pered with com­pli­men­tary mas­sages while younger chil­dren can play in the tod­dler arena, su­per­vised by qual­i­fied child­care staff.
