Have say on Quarter concept

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Business -

SHOPPERS will get an opportunity to contribute to Claremont Quarter’s Third Place concept this week.

Planner’s TPG will operate a community booth near Coles on Thursday from 2pm-5.30pm and outside Atomic Café on Saturday from 11am-2.30pm, where people can have their say about what’s needed in the community space.

“If most people’s first place is home and their second place is work, then we have to compete for the ‘third place’ where they spend their valuable leisure time,” Hawaiian propert group chief executive Russell Gibbs said.

“We want to create a space that adds to the local community and to achieve this we need to talk to our community.

“The intention is for it to be a vibrant and engaged area all year round, which means activity and infrastructure would be planned with the consideration of all the seasons.”

After the community engagement sessions, TPG and Hawaiian will work with the Town of Claremont to develop an Action Plan that will help deliver the concept.
