AUSTRALIA’S exotic wildlife and wild landscapes inspired Moorcroft designer Vicky Lovatt to create her new pottery collection.
Lovatt designed The Great Southern Land after a visit to Australia last year.
“With an ability to appreciate and select distinctive details from unusual creatures such as the cockatoo, Vicky relays imagery like no one else working on pottery today,” Moorcroft managing director Elise Adams said.
“Each of the nine pieces reaches through to the very soul of one of the most colourful, striking and diverse continents on earth.”
Lovatt and Moorcroft demonstration artist Peter Harrison will be in Australia in July to present this brand new collection.
“At each event, see for yourself how a piece of Moorcroft is decorated as Peter brings the making process to life before you,” Claremont Tableware director Mike Freisner said.
“At the same time, The Great Southern Land collection will be available, with a unique opportunity to have your chosen piece signed in gold by Vicky.”
Each piece from The Great Southern Land collection will have a special Australian 2015 back stamp impressed on the base and all pieces are exclusive to Australian retailers.
The Perth event will be held 11am-4pm on Saturday, July 11 at Claremont Tableware, 51 Bayview Terrace, Claremont.
