OWEN Har­wood was among the medal win­ners at the re­cent Happy Feet In­dian Ocean Cham­pi­onships held at the Univer­sity of WA Clare­mont Cam­pus. The five-year-old won the medal for his fly­ing high kick and was among 160 young­sters aged 4 to 17 who com­peted at Plat­inum Taekwon-Do’s an­nual club com­pe­ti­tion. Com­peti­tors are now train­ing for the state cham­pi­onships from Au­gust 22 to 23. THERE were some big mar­gins in the Perth Net­ball As­so­ci­a­tion se­nior di­vi­sion one com­pe­ti­tion at Matthews Net­ball Cen­tre last Satur­day with City Beach Surfers 1 beat­ing City Beach 2 64-39. Ster­ling Saints de­feated Dodgers 42-27, Phan­toms beat Aran­more Jets 44-26 and Scar­bor­ough had a 50-31 win over Clas­sics 31. Methodist Ladies’ Col­lege had a 15-goal vic­tory over City Beach win­ning 52-37 in the ju­nior di­vi­sion one com­pe­ti­tion, while Clas­sics beat West Coast­ers 46-29 and Jets de­feated Perth Col­lege 42-39.
