Joel can’t bowl

Western Suburbs Weekly - - News -

PERTH comedian Joel Creasey provided the perfect introduction to the 27th West Australian Screen Awards last week.

The former Wesley College student did not surprise the Heath Ledger Theatre audience when he revealed he had been the drama captain since Year 8, going through six drama teachers during his high school years.

Creasey recalled his experience of auditioning for a Milo commercial with a backyard cricket theme and featuring former Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist, both game and player unfamiliar to him.

He was asked to bowl a cricket ball, which he did, smashing an overhead projector. Needless to say, he didn’t get the gig.
