Violinist new WASO master
BRITISH violinist Laurence Jackson has been appointed WA Symphony Orchestra’s new concertmaster.
Jackson, who has held the same position at the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra for the past 10 years, first performed as guest concertmaster with WASO in March.
He will return to WASO in August to lead the orchestra in the Brahms Festival and for Simone Young Conducts Faure’s Requiem.
Jackson will appear as a soloist in WASO’s 2016 season, which will be announced on September 2.
