A MT Hawthorn boy (15) has been charged with burglary, criminal damage and stealing for allegedly being part of a group that repeatedly burgled the Telethon Speech and Hearing Centre in Dodd Street in Wembley. Senior Sergeant Dave Stevenson said it would be alleged the boy was part of a group that took laptop and desk computers from the centre after a rock was thrown through its front window overnight on July 21. Investigations continue into others who may have been involved in burglaries at the centre on July 1 and July 13. The Mt Hawthorn boy will appear at Perth Children’s Court at a later date.
The last week incorrectly referred to Telethon Speech and Hearing in Wembley as the Telethon Institute.
