Have say on hospital plans
PUBLIC submissions on the WA Planning Commission’s (WAPC) intention to amend the Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS) at the old Royal Perth Rehabilitation Hospital in Shenton Park are now open.
The amendment proposes to transfer about 15.8ha from the hospital reservation to an urban zone that would allow for residential, commercial, recreational and light industry.
A WAPC spokesperson said the proposed amendment was not considered a substantial alteration to the MRS.
Plans showing the proposed change and WAPC amendment report will be available until September 18 at the cities of Subiaco and Nedlands, WAPC building on 140 William Street and Battye Library at the Perth Cultural Centre.
