WINE OF THE WEEK

Voyager Estate Chenin Blanc 2014

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Wine -

Chenin Blanc has had the Swan Valley as its WA home for decades.

The wine was made into dry, fruity, medium-sweet and fortified styles; the best of which in each instance were marvellous.

The modern versions are striking, with the Swan Valley's Lamont's RS39 (39 grams residual sugar) consistently absolutely delicious: soft, fragrant, fresh, lively and balanced.

The Voyager Estate Chenin Blanc is also amongst WA's finest each vintage.

They are invariably brilliantly crafted into soft, fragrant, medium-sweet and seamless wines with wonderful finishes.

This is no exception and is almost fragrant, soft, fresh, easy and balanced with a touch of sweetness.

Juicy, delicious, round, if restrained, and quality, long fruit. This has fantastic and serious fruit quality for what is regarded as a non-serious style.

Wonderfully made and delicious,

18 points and RRP $22.
