Boot for Kerry
WA Governor Kerry Sanderson was sporting a moon boot at last Friday’s Diabetes WA FYI Series Corporate Lunch at Fraser’s Kings Park.
The Diabetes WA patron who grew up in Wembley said she had only discovered the week before that she had a fracture in her ankle, so was in a moon boot for the next six weeks.
Ms Sanderson told the audience at the third annual Corporate Lunch that her uncle had type 1 diabetes and when he was 80 was the oldest diabetic in WA.
MC Steve Mills said he got regular checks for diabetes but was so far all clear.
