Doolittle does lots
IT may be a year away but musical theatre fans will be thrilled with news Dame Julie Andrews has been appointed to direct My Fair Lady at Sydney Opera House.
The new production, presented by Opera Australia artistic director Lyndon Terracini and producer John Frost, will celebrate the musical’s 60th anniversary with Broadway’s original Eliza Doolittle at the helm.
“I am thrilled to have been asked to direct My Fair Lady at the Sydney Opera House in August 2016,” Andrews said.
“I look forward to coming to Sydney this November to cast the production and begin the process of bringing this great musical to life once again.”
