NED­LANDS will play Wests Scar­bor­ough in the 2015 Premier Grade grand fi­nal, fol­low­ing the for­mer’s 4123 semi-fi­nal win over Cottes­loe at the Fore­shore last Satur­day.

A two-try ef­fort by full­back Dy­lan Loveridge helped Ned­lands re­turn from a 5-16 half-time deficit.

The mi­nor pre­miers bounced back in the sec­ond half, and af­ter trail­ing 23-12 in the 45th minute, put on three unan­swered tries to stamp their vic­tory, putting the mi­nor pre­miers one step closer to a premier­ship sea­son.

Cottes­loe scrumhalf Charl Nieuwen­huis opened the scor­ing with two early penal­ties be­fore Ned­dies re­sponded through a Ben Ti­tiko try in the right hand cor­ner to trail by one point.

The Gulls added another Nieuwen­huis penalty be­fore they ex­tended their lead through an An­tini Brown try with Nieuwen­huis’ con­ver­sion giv­ing his side a 16-5 half-time ad­van­tage.

The sec­ond half saw Ned­lands come out fir­ing with prop Joseph Richie scor­ing his third try in two weeks with the Juan Pre­to­rius con­ver­sion nar­row­ing the home side’s deficit to 16-12.

Cottes­loe re­sponded when To­bias Hoskins broke through the Ned­lands de­fence to put his side up 23-12. The Ned­dies come­back clicked into gear when Anuru Rangi pow­ered through the last man in the de­fence be­fore Loveridge crossed for his two tries in suc­ces­sion to ex­tend the lead to 29-23.

Ned­lands con­tin­ued to make a state­ment to the vis­it­ing side, with Pre­to­rius con­tin­u­ing his strong con­tri­bu­tion to the match by scor­ing a try in the cor­ner and fly­half Jesse Toto div­ing over the top of a pack in the 80th minute to send Ned­dies to the Premier Grade de­cider on the back of a 41-23 win.

The grand fi­nal will be played this Sun­day at McGil­livray Oval.
