CURTIN MHR Julie Bishop has an­nounced $38,500 will go to five arts groups in her elec­torate from the Fed­eral Gov­ern­ment’s MATCH pro­gram that com­ple­mented pri­vate back­ing of the arts. Projects in­clude an 11-minute short film, theatre pro­duc­tions and for the ap­point­ment of an artis­tic as­so­ci­a­tion to un­der­take the cre­ative de­vel­op­ment of a new Aus­tralian work for chil­dren, she said. West Leed­erville theatre pro­duc­tion gets $3000 from the Gov­ern­ment, and West Leed­erville’s New Ghosts Theatre was given $2000, Dalkeith’s Com­pany Up­stairs theatre has $3500, Cottes­loe Films $10,000 and Bark­ing Gecko in Su­bi­aco $20,000.
