ned­lands.wa.gov.au The City of Ned­lands ad­vises that dur­ing the month of Septem­ber 2015 all turf ar­eas within parks and re­serves through­out the City will be treated for the con­trol of broadleaf weeds. Due to the un­pre­dictable na­ture of weather con­di­tions, ex­act dates for spray­ing can­not be con­firmed. Ap­pro­pri­ate sig­nage as re­quired by the Health (Pes­ti­cides) Reg­u­la­tions 2011 will be clearly dis­played dur­ing the ap­pli­ca­tion. Treat­ment will be un­der­taken by li­censed con­trac­tors un­der the su­per­vi­sion of City staff. Sig­nage will be placed at each lo­ca­tion and will re­main in place un­til such time that the sur­face to which the prod­uct has been ap­plied is dry. The oper­a­tions will be mon­i­tored by City of­fi­cers in ac­cor­dance with safety guide­lines and the City asks the public not to en­ter onto the area whilst the signs are dis­played. When the sur­face has dried the signs will be re­moved and the public will be free to en­ter the area. City staff in at­ten­dance dur­ing and af­ter treat­ment will be able to as­sist the public with any ques­tions they may have. The prod­uct to be ap­plied is a weed spe­cific se­lec­tive her­bi­cide con­sist­ing of the ac­tive chem­i­cal com­bi­na­tion: • MCPA - 300 g/L + Clopy­ralid - 20 g/L + Di­flufeni­can - 15 g/L. The prod­uct is to be ap­plied in ac­cor­dance with the prod­uct la­bel as is re­quired by state and fed­eral laws.
