THINK LIKE A THIEF TO AVOID A THEFT

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Streetwatch -

Do you ever think like a thief would? Here is how thinking like a would-be robber can assist you from having your home burgled. Thieves are opportunistic and often look for vulnerabilities in home security, where they can break in and get out without being detected – so get that sensor light fixed if it’s broken. Make sure you make an effort to keep valuable items such as mobiles, electronic tablets and other electronic devices out of view through windows when you are out. Remember to keep you doors and windows locked, even when you are at home. Make a special point of ensuring this is done before leaving for work, and before heading to bed at night. If you are going to be out in the evening, consider leaving a radio or inside light on. – Senior Sergeant Matt Sharp
