Great Scot soon to be an Aussie
BUSINESSWOMAN Sandra Devahasdin has had plenty to celebrate this year but becoming an Australia citizen this Thursday is one of her highlights.
The Scotswoman has made the bold decision to further embrace the country she has called home for more than 30 years.
“I can’t promise any of you will understand my blatherin’ any better, and I will still honour my Scottish roots, but it is time for me to embrace my inner Waltzing Matilda and declare publicly that I am a proud Aussie,” Devahasdin said.
The founder of Devahasdin PR, which celebrates 21 years this year, will celebrate with family and friends by watching her national TV debut on the ABC’s Who’s Been Sleeping in My House.
An episode was filmed at her historic Northbridge home. bring some glamour to the annual Perth Royal Wine Show at the Claremont Showground today.
Society members, including Lara McVeigh, Diane Parsons, Suz Fisher and Jodie Petterson, will be clinking glasses and helping the 16 judges find the award-winning wines among 2091 entries.
Associate judge Courtney Treacher will get into the spirit by wearing a feather boa.
Winners will be announced this Friday.
