Clare­mont-Ned­lands pair in WA squad

CLARE­MONT-Ned­lands pair Alex Trim­boli and Bradley Hope have been se­lected in the WA squad for the Un­der-17 Na­tional Cham­pi­onships in Bris­bane this month.

The 13-player squad will play in the cricket cham­pi­onships from Septem­ber 28-Oc­to­ber 8.

WA will be aim­ing to im­prove on last year’s fifth-place fin­ish in Ho­bart, when they com­pete in Pool B of the re­vised 10-team com­pe­ti­tion where all teams will play eight matches in­clud­ing fi­nals.

For­mer WA bats­man Michael Dighton will coach the squad, with Wil­let­ton’s Aaron Hardie named as cap­tain.

There will be a cap pre­sen­ta­tion for the squad next week, be­fore they leave Perth for Bris­bane on Satur­day, Septem­ber 26.
