The Hale School Solomon Islands Chaplain’s Pilgrimage co-ordinated by Chaplain Father Dougall has taken groups of years 10 and 11 students every two years to support the Siro Community High School in the Central Province of the Solomon Islands.

Students raise at least $500 each before the trip and are involved in community service while there.

The boys buddy up with Siro students and spend time peer tutoring in the classroom, as well as helping with chores.

Over the last three visits, the money raised has provided the community with a boat and solar panels that provide power to the main school buildings.

The bootcamp organised by Travis Sawyer from Fit Faster Group and Personal Training will be at Woodlands Primary School, September 5, at 8am.
