Grandparents Day celebrations

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Western Opinion -

STUDENTS from Methodist Ladies’ College celebrated Grandparents Day with seniors from Mercy Place Mont Clare last month.

The students performed a concert for the Mont Clare residents and prepared an afternoon tea for the group to enjoy.

Mercy Health Mont Clare service manager Jenny Jones said it was important for seniors and children to spend time together.

“We have become aware over the months that our residents and the children share many things in common, not least of which is that many have extended family that live interstate or overseas,” Ms Jones said.

“We’re thrilled that the school has organised a Grandparents Day to show our residents how fond they have become of them.”
