Bake-off competitors rise to the occasion
THE newly renovated food and textiles building at St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls was put through its paces for the Great St Hilda Bake Off.
Year 11 students competed in the school’s first bake-off under competition conditions.
Girls were given 40 minutes to cook cupcakes, muffins, pikelets scones or choux pastry cases, with their best three submitted for judging.
The food and textiles building had previously been divided across the school campus.
Winners were Bonnie Tuckett in the cupcake category, Shania Cameron in the muffin category, Isabel Rowley in the pikelet category, Chiedza Chinyadza in the scone category and Rebecca Kempin in the choux pastry category.
The overall bake-off winner was Shania Cameron.
