Raided house a haz­ard

WEM­B­LEY and Perth po­lice will al­lege heroin was be­ing sold from a house – now de­clared a health haz­ard – where $10,000 cash was found in Fair­field Street, Mt Hawthorn.

“We re­ceived a se­ries of re­ports from the public through Crime Stop­pers and res­i­dents nearby had a lot of con­cerns, in­clud­ing find­ing sy­ringes nearby for some time as well,” Se­nior Sergeant Dave Steven­son said.

Wem­b­ley po­lice, Perth de­tec­tives and City of Vin­cent health of­fi­cers raided the house on Septem­ber 1. It will be al­leged there was stolen prop­erty and the cash in the house, which also con­tained undis­closed amounts of heroin and cannabis.

The City sub­se­quently de­clared the house un­fit for hu­man habi­ta­tion.

A Mt Hawthorn man (38) was charged with pos­ses­sion of drugs to sell or sup­ply, 73 counts of of­fer­ing drugs to sell or sup­ply, pos­sess­ing heroin and cannabis, un­law­ful pos­ses­sion of drug im­ple­ments and un­law­ful pos­ses­sion of cash.

He was re­manded in cus­tody to reap­pear in court at later date.

A Mt Hawthorn woman (48) was charged with pos­ses­sion of a pro­hib­ited drug and 30 counts of of­fer­ing to sup­ply drugs. She was re­manded in cus­tody to reap­pear in court at a later date.

A Nol­la­mara man (32) was charged with pos­ses­sion of heroin to sell or sup­ply, un­law­ful pos­ses­sion of cash and pos­ses­sion of stolen prop­erty.
