Ticket issued on a cold, wet winter’s night

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Western Opinion -

YOUR front-page report in the September 1 edition about the tactics of Wilson Parking brought back memories of a wet, winter Tuesday night about two years ago when my wife and I joined friends for dinner at a Subiaco restaurant.

I purchased a three-hour ticket in the Seddon Street car park.

After a pleasant evening, we returned to the car park around 10pm to find a parking ticket for being 15 minutes overdue.

Our car was the only vehicle in that windswept car park.

One can only imagine a zealous Wilson inspector hanging around a deserted car park in the cold and wet for an hour or two watching the clock just to ticket the only car present.

Since then I have steered clear of visiting Subiaco as much as possible. Ian Bernadt, Swanbourne.
