Cottes­loe chiefs meet, talk tac­tics

TWO mem­bers for Cottes­loe met for a strat­egy meet­ing re­cently.

WA Premier Colin Bar­nett helped Christ Church Gram­mar Year 10 stu­dent Ja­cob Dorsett-Sawyer pre­pare for his role as the Stu­dent Mem­ber for Cottes­loe in Stu­dent Par­lia­ment.

Ja­cob will rep­re­sent Cottes­loe in the Leg­isla­tive Assem­bly by mak­ing a mem­ber’s state­ment, de­bat­ing the Elec­toral Amend­ment Bill and take part in the Ad­journ­ment De­bate.

Mr Bar­nett said Ja­cob was an im­pres­sive young man.

“We had a long dis­cus­sion about lo­cal is­sues,” he said.

“He is very ar­tic­u­late and I am con­fi­dent he will speak ex­cep­tion­ally well at the Stu­dent Par­lia­ment as the Stu­dent Mem­ber for Cottes­loe.”

Stu­dent Par­lia­ment ran from Septem­ber 13-15.
