Bridal destination

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Fashion - with Desmond Eddy

ZANZIS Couture has joined Karen Willis Holmes on Hay Street, turning the Subiaco location into a bridal fashion destination.

Having recently featured at New York and London Fashion Week, Willis Holmes designs with a vintage fashion influence, where gowns reflect romance, sensuality and a woman’s individuality.

“I design with our bride in mind and it is always finding the balance between the traditional and the modern,” Willis Holmes said.

“I design with the modern stylish woman in mind.

“She wants something that is a little bit different and unique, that is fashionable but she still wants to be a bride.”

Willis Holmes said lace continued to be a popular trend for brides, along with ethereal wedding day looks using sheer fabrics, delicate Chantilly, corded laces and beautiful embellish work.

“There is a great relationship between Jennifer Naglan (Zanzis designer) and Willis Holmes that has unfolded, which in itself is a great story,” she said.

“Both the stores are stunning at this little end of Subi, which is really picking up some nice businesses.”
