Mar­riage made in par­adise

FOR­MER Western Sub­urbs Weekly re­porter Jane Evans mar­ried her beau of seven years Michael Pee­bles in a lav­ish Bali wed­ding last week.

The cou­ple, who met at Bali res­tau­rant Ku De Ta in 2008, ex­changed vows at a pri­vate villa in Canggu be­fore par­ty­ing into the early hours of the morn­ing.

The bride wore a cus­tomised green Toni Mat­icevski dress while the mother of the bride, Theresa Evans, sparkled in a gold Zuhair Mu­rad num­ber.

Grooms­man Scott Broadley, son of Cottes­loe jew­ellers Ann and Fred Broadley, de­signed the wed­ding bands and the bride's Cey­lon sap­phire en­gage­ment ring.

The 130 guests in­cluded the groom’s bosses Gary Dempsey and Drew Gillespie, from Dempsey Gillespie Con­struc­tion, Ku De Ta head chef Ben Cross and race­horse trainer Steve Wolfe.

Guests trav­elled from Scot­land, Lon­don, Sin­ga­pore, Greece, Texas, New York and Por­tu­gal.

Bali-based Perth per­former and model Eva Scolaro en­ter­tained guests at the re­cep­tion be­fore a DJ took over.

The Pee­bles hon­ey­mooned in Bali and Sin­ga­pore.
