Marriage made in paradise
FORMER Western Suburbs Weekly reporter Jane Evans married her beau of seven years Michael Peebles in a lavish Bali wedding last week.
The couple, who met at Bali restaurant Ku De Ta in 2008, exchanged vows at a private villa in Canggu before partying into the early hours of the morning.
The bride wore a customised green Toni Maticevski dress while the mother of the bride, Theresa Evans, sparkled in a gold Zuhair Murad number.
Groomsman Scott Broadley, son of Cottesloe jewellers Ann and Fred Broadley, designed the wedding bands and the bride's Ceylon sapphire engagement ring.
The 130 guests included the groom’s bosses Gary Dempsey and Drew Gillespie, from Dempsey Gillespie Construction, Ku De Ta head chef Ben Cross and racehorse trainer Steve Wolfe.
Guests travelled from Scotland, London, Singapore, Greece, Texas, New York and Portugal.
Bali-based Perth performer and model Eva Scolaro entertained guests at the reception before a DJ took over.
The Peebles honeymooned in Bali and Singapore.
The happy couple, Jane and Michael Peebles.
