Western Suburbs Weekly - - Nearyou -

RUNNING laps of Christ Church Grammar School, students raised more than $10,000 for the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation last month. Moyes House captain Daniel Pelkowitz said choosing the foundation as its house charity was an easy decision to make. “It is a charity we can all identify with because of the connections and experiences we have had,” Daniel said. The house prefects organised a fun run, where boys were sponsored to run laps of the playing fields, with occasional challenge stations including water slides and dodge ball. “We had over 100 people take part in the event, with everyone contributing to make it a successful and fun morning,” Moyes House vice-captain Julian Ming said. PMH Foundation community fundraising manager Fiona Dickson said the contribution would help to provide vital medical equipment and specialist staff at the hospital. “Once it has been decided where this generous donation will go, the boys will be able to come and see what it means for the kids in the hospital,” Ms Dickson said.
